Think tank website project
For this assignment we were to choose people to be in a group of 6 and what we did was create a website that was to reflect our think tank. We got together and decided what we wanted to be called and what the theme of our think tank was going to be which was "How attractiveness effects the workplace". This assignment was important because it was a way for us to work together in the classroom and it was our reflection and participation in society. It was meaningful to me because it helped me understand the way things are in the world and how society works. This project helped me learn new things in terms of how the environment is at other places and the way society is in different places as well.
End bullying project
This was one of our biggest projects throughout the semester so far and it was really fun do to because it was topic that we had lots of stuff to say about. We did lots of research and even had experienced a few moments of bullying. It was something that we felt was important for people to be aware of. It was important to us especially because as seniors in a high school we are usually the ones to be bullies to underclassmen and therefor we need to help our fellow peers realize how much bullying really effects people more than we think. It helped me learn a lot about how many people take bullying pretty seriously and how much it can effect a person's life.
Mission statement project
Our missions statement was what we thought goes on in society and how it works. It was "How attractiveness effects the workplace" and we went through lots of articles only to realize how much more frequent this kind of stuff is. It's important to us especially because as seniors we will soon be entering the world of many different work environments and we plan on surviving out there we have to make sure that the place we choose to work at isn't some shallow, judgmental place that will only accept us if we're good-looking. Honestly, I never even really realized how much this actually happens at work places. I always thought it was just the way you work and your background, but I guess its also the way you look as well.
